Should you include your NRIC or FIN number on your resume?

A reminder that when applying for jobs in Singapore, it is not necessary to include your NRIC or FIN number on your resume. According to the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), these numbers are primarily used for government purposes and transactions with the government.

Therefore, they are not typically required by private sector organizations. Additionally, including this sensitive information on your resume can leave you vulnerable to fraud or identity theft. If an employer needs to know these details, they can request them during an interview.
